Dale Eugene Blust, age 81, of Hale, Michigan, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016.
Dale was born April 29, 1934 in Sherman Township to George “Pete” and Ardith Blust. Dale graduated Whittemore High School in 1952, and served his country in the United States Army from 1954-1956.
He married Patricia Ann (Murray) Blust at the Whittemore Methodist Church on May 26, 1956.
He worked as a Terminal Manager and dispatcher for Jefferson Trucking Company for 33 years until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed golfing, and playing bingo and dancing while in Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Patricia Blust, children; Jeffery (Dr. Tari Stull) Blust, Kari Lynn (Clinton) Loomis; sister, Audrey Adsit of Melbourne, FL., and step brother, Robert Eklund; sister-in-law’s, Ethel Blust and Peggy Blust Savage; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Ron Blust, and grandson, Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Hale FISH center in Dale's name.
