Joseph Potter ( Abt 15 Apr 1799-23 Aug 1741)and Mary Farnsworth (9 Apr 1783-12 Oct 1859) are Martha's parents. She married about 1800 to Thomas Rice of Annapolis Royal. After marriage they settled into life in Bear River and had their family of twelve children:
