Lillie Mae Thompson, age 93, of Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Indiana, went home to be with Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend, Indiana. Lillie was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hall on December 17, 1922 in Chapel, South Carolina. She was the last living child of 13 born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hall.

She married Clifford Daniel Thompson in November of 1945 in Greenwood, South Carolina. She spent most of her life in Youngstown, Ohio. Coming from Lexington, Kentucky, in 2013 she moved to South Bend, Indiana. She was a member of Elizabeth Memorial C.O.G.I.C., and her passions were collecting jewelry, high fashion and shoe’s. She loved God, people and animals.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings: Polly Hall, Susie Hall, Mamie Lee Hall; and eight additional siblings.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include two daughters: Janette Thompson Mozee of South Bend, Indiana, Connie Thompson (Greg) Chandler of Anderson, South Carolina; six grandchildren: Rasean Chandler, Ashley Chandler, Michael Jay Chandler, John “Butch” Mozee, IV., Cameron and Carmen Chandler; two great grandchildren: Jaccarri and Ansel Scurry; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
