County Native's Rites To Be Held Wednesday

Mrs. Louise Hey, 61, native and lifelong resident of Shelby county, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Robert Pherigo in Shelby township. She had been ill for five months.
The daughter of John C. and Catherine (Becht) Adam, she was born in Shelby township on October 23, 1892. For many years Mrs. Hey was employed at the J. C. Penney Store here and retired about four years ago. She was married on February 19, 1911, to Martin Hey whose death occurred in 1919. Surviving with the daughter at whose home she died are three other children, Gilbert Hey and Mrs. Norval Linsmith of Columbus and Mrs. Edward Keppel of Hendricks township. There are eight grandchildren and two brothers, Vernie Adam of R. R. 3 and Charlie Adam of R. R. 5.
Mrs. Hey was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church and Rev. R. F. Rasche, pastor of the church, will officiate at funeral services in the Ewing Mortuary Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. (Obit: Shelbyville News, Oct. 4, 1954)
