Lydia Ann Presstman Davis was born on the 4th of March 1824 daughter of the Reverend (Lieutenant) Stephen Wilson Presstman and Anna (Brundige) Presstman.

Lydia Ann married Alonzo Bertrand Davis son of Colonel Samuel Boyer Davis and Marianne Rose Elizabeth (De Boisfontaine) Davis in Wilmington, Delaware on the 9th of February 1843. The Reverend Stephen Wilson Presstman father of the bride officiated the ceremony.

She bore three children; Captain Samuel Boyer Davis, Lydia Presstman Davis Reynolds and Maria Trimble Davis.

Lydia passed away in Wilmington, Delaware on the 13th of July 1848.

She was originally entombed at the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery located in Wilmington, Delaware by burial permit number 411 on the 14th of July 1848 on application of future Confederate General Isaac Ridgeway Trimble for Colonel Samuel Boyer Davis. An inscription "Wife of Alonso B" is still currently present at the Delaware cemetery.

Her remains were succinctly removed along with that of her husband Lieutenant Alonzo Bertrand Davis after his passing and entombed within the Presstman Family Vault located within the Green Mount Cemetery of Baltimore, Maryland on the 27th of September of 1854.
