Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, September 9, 2016. Reverend Lanita Monroe will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born January 22, 1954, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, to the late Arthur and Mildred Latimer Clark.
He was a graduate of Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He practiced as a family doctor before moving to Shelbyville in 1996 and opening his Family Practice. He then became the Hospitalist for Heritage Medical Center and then Tennova Heathcare of Shelbyville. He held membership at Riverbend Country Club, and was an avid golfer. Dr. Clark loved to read, work crossword puzzles, music, and was always singing. He enjoyed spending time with his 2 ½ year old granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Debra Bryan Clark, and a son, Zachary Clark, both of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Brianna Brielle Clark; a brother, Peter Clark, of Ouispamsis, New Brunswick, Canada, and two sisters, Lee (Gerard) Pelerine, of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, and Gail MacLeod, of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
