BISMARCK -- Harry Ellis, 88, of Bismarck, passed away at his home September 1, 2016. He was born on March 13, 1928, at Ellington, Missouri, son of the late William and Mamie (Allison) Ellis. Harry was an Army veteran, a 31-year Mason, Electrical Engineer for Boeing, and a good Christian man.

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Gail McConnell; one brother, Archie Ellis; and three sisters, Maude Asberry, Marie Bain and Dolly Rickmar.

Harry is survived by four sons, Harry Dale Ellis of St. Louis, Rocky Ellis and wife Donna of Nashua, New Hampshire, Michael Ellis and wife Judy of Pacifica, California, Richard Ellis and wife Christine of Desloge, and Don Ellis Jr. and wife Jennifer of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two daughters, Debbie Hanna and husband Allen, of Elkton, Maryland, and Lisa Marie Edmondson and Paul of New Castle, Delaware; five sisters, Louise Rickmar, Eloise Winfrey, Bett Ashley, Lucy Love and Rose Chapman; son-in-law, Ed Connell; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with many friends also survive.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Shipman Funeral Home in Bismarck, with a Masonic Service at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. September 8, 2016, at Shipman Funeral Chapel with Rick Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Bismarck I.O.O.F (Oddfellows) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled Veterans Fund.
