Chico (Butte County, CA) Enterprise-Record, Thursday, November 6, 1952, pg 2 col 2: J.W. Halterman, Former Willows Resident, Dies. Mrs. Harold Hoobler was called to Los Angeles by the death of her father, J.W. Halterman on October 24.
Mr. Halterman had lived in Willows for several years where he worked as a general contractor. He was born in Illinois in June 1872, and after retiring from business had moved to Los Angeles.
Survivors are his daughter, and two grand-daughters, Mrs. K.T. Rice and Elsie Wingett, all of Chico.
Entombment, after creation, was in the Inglewood Mausoleum in Los Angeles.
