Glen was the son of farmer Daniel Tudor Baker and Rosetta Porter. He married first Ada Lee Bishop on August 10, 1929. They divorced just a few years later.

He was a commissioned buyer of produce.

Glen married secondly Louise Agatha Marlowe who was from Prescott, Arizona, and was happy in his marriage to Louise, and enjoying his two young children when, sadly, he was hit by a truck and killed. His wife moved her family from Los Angeles to Altadena, California, in an attempt to get past this tragedy, but he was sorely missed.
