Annie Vermell Macemore Harrison, 95, of Highway 21 passed away peacefully at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin on September 4, 2016. She was born March 1, 1921 in Yadkin County, the last of eight siblings that were born to Calvin Eli and Martha Jane Vestal Macemore. Mrs. Harrison loved to work outside in her flowers and garden. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and was retired from Lucia in Elkin. Mrs. Harrison attended Fall Creek Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of Swaims Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Diane Harrison, and fiance' Randy Moore; and several special family members and special friends. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM Wednesday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Don Hudson and Rev. Jerry Shelton. Burial will follow in the Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery.
