Derrick Bryan Young, 48, of Brady, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, in Austin. Graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 29 at Rest Haven Cemetery with Buz Roddie officiating. Services were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Homes. He was born Oct. 10, 1959, in Spokane, Wash. to Edgar Young and Mary Anne Marler.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Anne Marler; a sister, Vickie Roddie and husband, Buz, of Cresson; a niece, Kryste Boydstun and husband, Jayson, and their children, Saylor, Ryan and Wylliam, of Cresson; an aunt, Carol Henderson and husband, L.D., of Voca; several cousins and special neighbors, Skip and Beverly Kiklowicz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Young. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer and Diabetes Society.
