Brittany Alaniz

EAST CARBON-Brittany Lynn Laude Alaniz, age 35, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and beautiful friend passed away on August 9, 2016 at her home in East Carbon, Utah.

Brittany was born August 15, 1980 in Price, Utah to Steve Laude and Suzanne Dunn. Brittany spent her childhood in Wellington and Price, Utah where she made many lifelong friends. She married the love of her life Mario Alaniz on October 31, 2000, their favorite holiday. Brittany is also survived by her two sons David (Dave Dave) and Patch Alaniz (Bug); and her step-daughter Alisha Alaniz (Sis), who Brittany cared for and loved as if she were her own. Brittany was very proud of her children, they were her greatest accomplishment. She loved them with everything she had. All of her babies meant the world to her and she deeply treasured each one. She loved her nieces and nephews; Hannah, Corrissa, Anecia, Rubie, Roman, and Zaine so much. She always had a warm hug and smile whenever they were together. She gave them each a special nickname and she will always be affectionately known as “Aunt Bart”. She was very close with her cousins and loved to spend time with them. With a kind and genuine heart Brittany loved everyone and fought for those who were going through rough times. She was very vocal about the causes she believed in. She made many friends who she loved dearly. By nature, Brittany was a nurturer and often cared for those who had no one else. She loved animals and her pets and would have adopted the entire animal shelter if she could. She hated to see any animal neglected or suffering. She had a beautiful and tender and loving heart. We will miss her bright blue eyes, big beautiful smile, great big hugs, and sweet words. Our sweet angel has her wings, we know that she will be watching over us.

Brittany is survived by her husband Mario Alaniz, three children David, Patch, and Alisha; father Steve Laude; mother Suzanne (Dale) Mitchley; sisters Corrine Rasmussen (Chris), Katie Micciche (Garrett); brother Steven Laude Jr. (Sadie); grandma Ruth Laude; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Cordelia Alaniz; grandparents Edwin Laude, Robert Dunn and Mary Dunn; and cousin Suzie Elkins Walker.
