TRINITY - Clay McConnell Poole Sr., 75, of Route 3, Highway 62, died Wednesday at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.

A Montgomery County native, he was former owner-operator of Twin Knitting Mill and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Frankie Sanders Poole; sons, Clay M. Poole Jr., Michael C. Poole, both of Trinity, Stephen G. Poole of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Koontz of Thomasville, Mrs. Gertrude Tew of Siler City, Mrs. Geraldine Howard of Greensboro, Mrs. Inez Smith of Trinity; brothers, Glenn Poole of Lenoir, Rhuell Poole of Roanoke, Va., W.O. Poole, Everette Poole, both of Thomasville; three grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 112 Fayette St., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101.
