Nancy C. Baldwin, 76, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away at 7:12 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Larry Vaughn will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation in honor of Mrs. Baldwin will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Mrs. Baldwin was born on February 28, 1940 in Paris, Arkansas the daughter of Wayne E. and Ruth (Spicer) Chastain.

Nancy was united in marriage to Arlo Clayton Baldwin, Jr. on April 9, 1961, in Springfield, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2011.

Survivors include one son, Clay Baldwin and Melissa Myers of Hannibal, Mo.; one daughter, Laurie Harris and husband Chuck of Hannibal, Mo; two grandchildren, Tori Baldwin and Madison Harris; and one sister, Mary Wayne Chastain Pierce of Cromwell, Ct.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by one grandson, Gregory Clayton Baldwin.

Mrs. Baldwin graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1957. She went on to further her education at Hannibal-LaGrange College and graduated from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield.

Nancy worked most her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and knitting. She was an avid Cardinals fan, if the Cardinals were playing ball Nancy could be found watching them. Nancy also loved her two dogs “Daisy” and Yadi”. Nancy had a passion for entertaining especially through the holidays. She cherished these times spent with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Baldwin was a Baptist by faith
