He was the son of the late Earl Hansford Sullivan and Viola T. Bradshaw.
Mr. Sullivan had retired as a truck driver from Farmers Creamery. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. He was very active with the baseball in Stafford County and had served as an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter. Mr. Sullivan was a loving husband, father, granddad and a loyal friend. He loved his family and friends. He was a member and past president of Stafford Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Hall Sullivan; three sons, Norman Earl Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Ann, Ricky Lee Sullivan and his wife, Debbie, and Robin Troy Sullivan all of Stafford County; brother, Thomas W. Sullivan, of Henry Co.; sister, Betty M. Cooper; six grandchildren, Norman Brian Sullivan, Mason Scott Sullivan, Troy Matthew Sullivan, Rebecca Sullivan Vandall, Hayley Ann Sullivan and Cameron Hunter Sullivan; and two great granddaughters, Madalyn Jo Sullivan and Lilly Sophia Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy L. Scott and Viola Duty.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A funeral will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with pastor Rick Ritchie officiating. Interment will be private in White Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, Cameron Sullivan, Gregory Sullivan and Shawn Scott.
Memorials may be made to White Oak Volunteer Fire Department Co. 7, 12 Newton Rd. Falmouth, VA 22405.
