Michael Keith Easton, 30, of Draper, Utah, passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 17th, 2014, at St. Marks Hospital due to an accidental overdose.

Michael was born on August 1, 1983 in Twin Falls, Idaho to adoring parents Kerry and Cally Easton. Michael graduated from West Jordan High School and then immediately started his adventure called life. He overcame many obstacles through the years becoming a great example to those around him and still managed to have one of the greatest sense of humors that we have ever come to know.

Michael's friends were more to him than just friends, they were family. He would do anything for his friends and has countless times. He would give the shirt off his back if that meant that his friends would be happy. His friends have described him as incredible, someone who had the biggest heart, amazing, honest, straight forward, and a stand up guy who would give his life to shield one from pain. "Brother" was the word used most to describe Michael because he loved his friends like he would his family.

Michael's best friends were his own two brothers. They really did everything together. From the time that they were running around in diapers, they were mischievous and over the years Michael never let that fall away. Michael just used his energy in bold and fearless adventures and would come back with hilarious, thoughtful, and inspiring stories.

To Michael the sun rose and set around his family. He was our light and always knew how to bring happiness and laughter to each one of us, and to all of our family gatherings. Each one of his family members were close to Mike and he loved us all without boundaries, but nothing can compare to his never-failing and absolute love he had for his mother. He would move mountains to make sure she knew how much he loved her.

Michael is survived by his little Willis, his dachshund, who loved him more in return than life itself. Michael is also survived by his parents Kerry and Cally Easton, his siblings, Chandra (Jed) Atkinson, Matthew Easton, and Ryan (JoAna) Easton. Also his nephews: Byron, Kenny, Preston, Wesley, Brycen and his nieces: Olive, Madison, and Jillian, along with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Kenneth Scott Easton and his great-grandparents. Michael will always live in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at 12:00 noon with a viewing at 10 am and Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 from 6 pm-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, located at 1007 W.
