Freddie Melvin Fowler, 79, of Wichita Falls passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Richard Rust officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Freddie was born on February 14,1937 in Wichita Falls to the late Roy and Hazel (Gillespie) Fowler. He was the owner/operator of Fowler Construction Co. in Wichita Falls for many years, and family and friends knew him for his orneriness and speaking his mind. Hunting, fishing, and raising chickens was just a few of the things he loved to do, but most of all, he loved his family.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Grace Fowler; sister, Nancy Grant; and grandson, Randy Glen Fowler.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Fowler, Ricky Fowler, and Alan Fowler; grandchildren, Destiny Peters & husband Damon, Jared Fowler & wife Katie, Ashley Fowler, Cole Fowler, Matt Fowler, and Chloe Fowler; great-grandchildren, Payton, Hayden, Legend, and Caseton; his sister, Mary Gamble & husband Dafford.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
