Alexander, William “Bill”, 77, of Tampa, Florida entered into rest on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Bill’s life was marked by his love of adventure and devotion to his family, especially his wife, Yvonne, to whom he was married for 55 years. Bill was an avid Porsche auto-cross racer who competed throughout the southeastern United States, and he served as past president of Gulf Coast Region of the Porsche Club of America.
After receiving his accounting degree from his beloved University of Kentucky, Bill made his mark as a Certified Public Accountant and eventually operated his own CPA firm, Alexander & Company in Tampa.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne and his children Keith Alexander (Larchmont, NY) and Hope Bennett (Tampa); five grandchildren, Ashley Bennett (Marietta, GA), Amy Bennett Person (Memphis, TN), Sarah Bennett (Tampa), Jake Alexander (Larchmont, NY) and Patrick Alexander (Larchmont, NY); and son-in-law, Don Bennett (Tampa), daughter-in-law, Renee Alexander (Larchmont, NY), and grandson-in-law, Austin Person (Memphis, TN)
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 6 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel. Service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, at 10:00 a.m. at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel. Bill will be laid to rest at the Squire & Ida Whitaker Cemetery in Mill Branch, Kentucky.
