Mary Blanche Nolin James, age 91, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at her residence. She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church, a homemaker and the daughter of the late Lego and Bessie Barton Nolin.
She is survived by her husband of 77 years: Giles Witt James, Shelbyville; one son and one daughter: Donald James, Sr. and Betsy James Allen, both of Shelbyville; one brother, Russell Nolin, Smithfield; three sisters: Ruth Russell, Shelbyville, Glenna Christy, Ohio and Martha Prewitt, Indiana; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Reuben James, and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 16 at 2 p.m. at the Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Lynn Gants, Chaplain of Hospice, officiated. Rev. Kenny Talbott, Chaplain for the Women's Correctional Institute, assisted. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
