Cynthia E. Yates, 55, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday December 3rd, 2011. Born August 21, 1956 in Baltimore Maryland, Cindy was the daughter of Roy Dean Baldwin of Kissimmee and the late Jane Baldwin of Kissimmee. Member of a pioneer Osceola County family. Cindy moved to Kisssimmee with her parents in 1958, it was there that she attended school and graduated from Osceola High School in 1974. She went on to attend FTU (now UCF). Cindy always worked in the field of advertising; which she loved. She began her career at the Osceola Shopper in Kissimmee. In 1986, she founded he Advertiser of Polk County, a free newspaper that circulates to more than 40,000 Polk County homes. The paper became extremely successful due to Cindy's great devotion and tenacious spirit. She took a personal interest in her advertisers and grew to love each of them dearly. Her greatest love however was her amazing family. She adored her incredible son and beautiful daughter. She was so proud of their many accomplishments! She delighted in traveling to Tallahassee with her family to watch her daughter perform in the FSU marching band. Also, you would never catch her without a business card for CenterState Bank where her son is Vice President, downtown Lakeland manager. By far the greatest pleasure came however, two years ago when her grandson was born. Cindy was one of the most caring people you would ever meet. She loved giving gifts and seeing people smile. She thrilled in connecting people in the business arena. She never failed to recognize significant events, such as birthdays, or anniversaries. She loved to help people, and she always put their needs above hers. Funeral Services in celebration of Cindy's life will be held Saturday, December 10th at 11 am at Hope Presbyterian Church 2110 Cypress Gardens Blvd. Winter Haven, FL 33884.
