Billy J. Robbins, age 73, widower of Patricia Gadd Robbins, died Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at Saint Joseph Berea. Mr. Robbins was born in Mount Vernon, KY., to the late Johnie A. and Bessie Henson Robbins. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. Mr. Robbins retired from the Parker Seal Company and was a member of the Clarksville Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to Berea Health Care where he played music for the residents and attending Senior Renewal.
Other than his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by, a brother, Rev. Franklin Andrew Robbins, an uncle, Cecil Henson and a nephew, Eddie Proctor.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his children, Billy (Shelly Howard) Robbins and Michelle (Pat) Ballinger both of Berea, KY., a sister, Doris Proctor of Berea, KY., four grandchildren, Mark Pryce Agee, Lucas Andrew Robbins, Vivian Robbins and Riley Ballinger also survive, along with Molly his Dachshund and constant companion.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 7th, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Livingood officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Cody Gadd, Mike Lainhart, Kenny Proctor, Donnie Thomas, James Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Shawn Reed, David Gregory and Jacob Gregory. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Carl Gadd, Don Adkins, Earl Barnes and Ronnie Adkins and Larry Sanders
