Mr. Paul Stevens Nix , of Mineola, Texas, passed away Monday April 3, 2006 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 79. He was born February 11, 1927 to the late Clarence Nix and the late Jessie (Burks) Nix in Mineola. He retired from the Houston Police Department and was a member of the Houston Retired Police Officers Association and the Wood County Peace Officers Association. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Clarence Nix and James Nix, two sisters, Margaret White and Sara J. Nix. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie N. Nix of Minneola; two sons, Steven Nix and wife Rebecca of Houston, Texas and Lance Nix and wife Allyson Of Houston, Texas; one brother, Royce W. Nix of Richmond, Virginia, and four grandchildren, Wade Nix, Collin Nix, Taylor Nix, and Leah Nix. Several nieces and nephews also survive Mr. Nix.
His Funeral Services were conducted Beaty Funeral Home, in Mineola, Texas, Services were held Monday, April 5, 2006 at the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at Mineola City Cemetery. Rev. Gordon Dunahoe, Officiated.
Pallbearers were Steven Nix, Greg Neal, Darren Neal, James Royce Nix, Chris Wright, Allen Lawlis and Amir Shahkarami.
