Doris Irene Huntsman Baker, daughter of Edna Rebecca (Haynes) and Perry Harrison Landers was born August 16, 1918 in Madison County, Iowa near Patterson. She attended the Madison County Country Shipley School.
On September 25, 1935, Doris was united in marriage to Nolen Huntsman in the Osceola Christian parsonage. They settled on a farm south west of Thayer in 1946. Doris was an active mother and homemaker. Nolen passed away November 13, 1976. Doris moved into Afton in 1977 after selling the farm. She later moved to Ogden Iowa and married Arden Baker August 3, 1991 at the Ogden Methodist Church. They later divorced. Doris moved back to Afton in 1993. Doris was an active member of the Afton Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Circle.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Donna Donner, three brothers, Kenneth, Howard and Jack Landers, two sisters, Ruth Davis and Faye Wolfe, a grand-daughter Susanna Sue Bunker and a great-granddaughter Casey Jo Flaherty.
