The funeral of Samuel J. Watson, who died Wednesday, was held in St. Michael's church, the morning at 9 o'clock, closing with interment in the church cemetery. Division No. 7 of Ancient Order of Hiberians took charge of the body at the residence and accompanied it to the church and cemetery. Mr. Watson was hurt about two weeks ago in Mine No. 12 of the Consolidated Coal Company. Besides the Hiberians, he was a member of the Mutual Aid Society and a policy-holder in the Prudential Insurance Company. Mr. Watson was the son of Samuel and Margaret Watson, of Midlothian, and his wife, Annie, is the daughter of Patrick and Julia Mullen, of same place. Mr. Watson was born at Borden Mines, January 24, 1873, and was, therefore, in his 41st year; was married in 1897 by the late Rev. S. J. Clarke, Miss Annie Mullen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mullen, becoming his bride. Wife and five children bereaved - three daughter and two sons, ranging from 15 down to 1 1/2 years.
