Known all over the country for his ability to fix anything electrical, he consulted for many companies over the years. Renowned in his own neighborhood for his Halloween inventions and Christmas light display, he will be remembered for his great gift of telling stories about his life in Eureka and his family.
Survived by his three sons, Benjamin Chris Evans, Jeffery Thomas Evans and Jennifer, and Patrick Floyd Evans and Mae Linda, and Jessica Evans; five grandchildren Mackenzie Marie Evans, 12, Britteny Marie Evans, 7, Bobby Dee Evans, 2, Chris Alexander Evans, 3 mo.; and Patrick Thomas Evans, 1 mo; three brothers, Steven (Vicki) Evans, David (Raylene) Evans, and Flint (Debbie) Evans; and a sister, Lois Ann (Richard) Swindlehurst; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially his cousin, Vicki Root, who was a big sister to Chris.
