On August 30, 2016, Mayble Elisabeth Cripps joined her beloved husband and life partner, Wallace, in heaven. Mayble was born on January 5, 1919 in Detroit, MI, to Park F. Abbott and Marie Katherine Wertz Abbott. Mayble married Wallace T. Cripps on July 12, 1941. They were married almost 73 years when Wallace predeceased her. Mayble was employed as the school secretary at Brookside Elementary, Cranbrook Educational Community, Bloomfield Hills, MI, where Wallace taught for over 40 years. After retirement, Wallace and Mayble relocated to Mount Dora, FL. In October 2013, they moved to Jacksonville, FL, to be closer to family, where they both made their journey to eternity.

Mayble was also predeceased by her parents and brother, Maxwell Abbott. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara and her husband, Robert Tracy, of Gainesville, GA; son, Todd and his wife, Vicki Cripps, of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.

Services are planned for Wednesday, September 7 at 1:00 pm, at CrossRoad Church, 10005 Gate Parkway North, Jacksonville, FL 32256. A reception will follow the service.
