Bryan Wesley Deal, 46, passed away Aug. 31, 2016, at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro after a long illness.

Wesley was born in Fulton County June 28, 1970. His family moved from Chamblee, Ga. in 1973 back to Bulloch County, where his father grew up.
Wesley enjoyed a rich childhood helping his Daddy farm, then assisting him in an appliance repair business. He graduated in 1988 from Statesboro High School, where he played football and participated in weightlifting.

He worked as an auto parts store manager and plastics extruder until entering into private contracting, where he focused on vinyl siding.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, favoring Dale Earnhardt Jr., and enjoyed football, fishing, collecting shot glasses and NASCAR memorabilia, and spending time with friends and family. He was a music enthusiast, and kept a collection of southern and classic rock as well as classic country music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Elbert Deal; paternal grandparents William Harvey and Gracie Lee Deal; and maternal grandfather Buford A. Adams.

Wesley is survived by his mother, Brenda Adams Deal NeSmith of Twin City; his stepfather Bob NeSmith of Hopeulikit; a sister and brother-in-law, Holli Deal Saxon and Eddie Dean Saxon of Garfield; a brother, Jeffrey Brandon Deal of Statesboro; a brother, Bobby Ray NeSmith of North Carolina; and a maternal grandmother, Hazel Lois Adams of Atlanta.

He also leaves behind several dear and close friends, including Chris Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Angie Washburn, Jimbo Herrin, and Ernie Mobarry, as well as his beloved cat, Junior.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
