Garland Miller, age 58 of Winnfield, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Winnfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Jordan Hill United Pentecostal Church. He worked for Milam's Department Store for seven years and then at Knights Armor Menswear where he was the store manager for twenty-five years.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife Mrs. Margaret Miller; one daughter: Susie Miller; his mother: Susie Cockerham Miller; two brothers: Rev. Jack Miller and John D. Miller, all of Winnfield; one sister: Mary Brinkerhoff of Deville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Brian Montgomery and Jack Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery in Joyce under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
