He died 10:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 1990 in his residence. He was under a doctor´s care.

He was born in Ralls and moved from Tulia to Hale Center in 1955. He married Janice Irvin in 1949 in Lubbock. He was a retired farmer. He was a 1943 graduate of Ralls High School. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Hale Center Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Gail Patterson of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Flora Ashley of Hale Center; and a granddaughter.
