Russell Ward Lawson II, 63, of New Castle, passed away Friday morning Sept. 2,2016 at his home.
He was born Apr. 30,1953 in Henry County, the son of the late Frankie Ward and Janet Ruth (Carter) Lawson. He received his high school diploma and was automotive engineer certified. He worked as an automotive engineer for 35 years.
Russell is survived by his wife Dainty Marie of 43 years; daughter: Heather M. Lawson; son: Joshua (Carly) Lawson; special daughter: Kim Shepherd; grandchildren: Jacob (Sammie), Christina and Nicole Ballenger, Isaiah (Camry) Shepherd, Emma, Colten and Alexander Lawson; great-grandsons; Axel Alan Ward Ballenger, Ryder Ray Shepherd; father and mother-in-law: Leonard and Joan Tungate; brothers: Brian (Cheryl) Lawson, Robin Lawson; sister: Pam (Gary) Wrightsman; sister-in-law: Sharon (Mike) Clapp and brother-in-law: Leonard (Belva) Tungate: brother-in-law: Ed Guy; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law: Joetta Guy.
Services will be Wednesday Sept. 7,2016 at 11 a.m. at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Rev. Jim Becker will officiate.
