Paula Jane Wright Wofford of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2016 after a brief illness. Paula was born in January 24, 1955 in Mena, Arkansas to Arlis and Pauline Wright, both now deceased.
Paula graduated from North Little Rock's Sylvan Hills High School in 1973. She attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). Paula was married to Robert Wofford from 1983 until his death in 2011.
For the last few years, she has enjoyed the amazing support, comfort and devotion of her loving companion and fiancé, Lloyd Proctor of Shreveport. He will miss her deeply.
Survivors include Paula's brother, David Wright of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; sisters, Susan Roberson of Camden, Arkansas, Rosemary Plum of Lenexa, Kansas, Julie Perry of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Patty Garitty of Coral Springs, Florida. Numerous nieces and nephews were honored to have a nurturing and loving "Aunt Paula" and will miss her constant love and support.
In addition to her brothers and sisters, Paula enjoyed the closeness of Lloyd's and Robert's extended families and considered them her own. Paula was blessed with many close friends and neighbors, especially Cathy and Jim Penfield who were her strength and support through some rough times.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 4 at Paula and Lloyd's home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
