Melvin Andrew Agan of Bremen passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in an Atlanta hospital. He was born in Haralson County, August 20, 1934, son of the late Troy Andrew Agan and Ilene Hamrick Agan. Mr. Agan was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a thirty seven year retiree of the Lockheed Company. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Agan.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Robinson Agan of Bremen; two brothers, Donald and Elaine Agan of Bremen, Coyal and Peggy Agan of Bremen; a sister-in-law, Reba Agan of Villa Rica; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, September 4 from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. J. Howard Mills officiating. Music will be furnished by Maxine House. Jerry Agan, Joel Agan, Brian Westmoreland, Blake Westmoreland, Mike Westmoreland and Chris Agan will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Union Hill Church Cemetery.
