Marcia Sauder Arnold, 79, of St. Leonard, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. She was born to Earl and Vilna (Farber) Sauder on November 17, 1936 in Mansfield, Ohio.

Marcia was very dignified, and she was an exceptionally generous and gentle lady. She was a coffee enthusiast, an avid decorator and painter, and she enjoyed singing and playing piano. She was also very interested in politics, and the current election. Marcia received her bachelor degree from Columbia Union College, and she modeled during her college years. After college, Marcia was a student teacher at Takoma Academy. She was very entrepreneurial, and fiercely independent. She owned several companies during her lifetime, starting with MSA Equipment Rental, then United Appraisers, and eventually Serenity Title. She also had her real estate license. Marcia always beamed with happiness in the presence of her grandchildren. In addition, she was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Natalie (Paul) McCullough of Prince Frederick, MD; son, Russell Arnold of St. Leonard, MD; four grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Bradley, and Amanda; one great-grandchild, Mason; one sister, Janet (Tom) Ratz of Mt. Vernon; former husband, Louis Arnold of College Park, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elaine Kazaka, and Kathleen Phillips; and one brother, Frank Sauder.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors.
