NAMPA — Services for Charlie E. Ray, 81, 119 Winther Blvd., who died Thursday in a Caldwell hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Shepherd Chapel. The Rev. J. Sydney Carnes will officiate, and interment will be at Kohlerlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Ray was born April 12, 1885, at Forsyth, Mo. He was reared in Missouri and married Minnie Belle Smith on Feb. 16, 1909, in Billings, Mont. He was a building contractor in Billings for 43 years, and moved to Nampa in September of 1952 after he had retired. His wife died Oct. 7, 1963.

Surviving him are two daughters. Mrs. J.D. Benson, Nampa, and Mrs. Howell Hutcheson, Lawton, Okla; two sons, Jack W. Ray, Seattle, and J. Noel Ray, Lawton; a sister Mrs. Nancy J. Boles, Nampa; two brothers, Andrew Ray, Taneyville, Mo., and Lawrence, Columbus, Kan.; a niece, Mrs. Chet Lambeth, Nampa; eight grandchildren, among them Mrs. Norman Huter, Nampa, and Robert C. Benson, Nampa; and six great- grandchildren, including Susan Kay Huter of Nampa.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
