athan Samuel Lewis, age 39, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2016 while at work.

Nathan was born at Mercy Hospital on April 16, 1977. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1996 and also the JVS Auto Repair. He had worked for International Assoc. of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers. For the last eight years he had been employed as the Journey Man Insulator and Firestop Tech. He was also part of the Local 50 Union out of Columbus, Ohio.

Nathan enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting and spending time with his fiancé and family.

He is survived by his loving parents, Samuel and Kathy Lewis of Fredericktown, his fiancé, Annette Steinbrunner of Utica, 2 sisters, Kelly Lewis of St. Louisville and Jennifer (Rodney) McKnight of Howard, his maternal grandmother, Jane Metzger of Mount Vernon, 2 nieces, Makenna and Kale Coe; a nephew, Ryan Fields and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Nathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delmer and Margurite Lewis, maternal grandfather, Raymond Metzger and an uncle, Raymond D. Metzger.

Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 2nd from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Graveside funeral services will follow at 2:15 PM in Sunbury Memorial Park in Sunbury.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
