Ronald Allen Swift, also known as “Allen” or “Ron” passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 1, 2016, at Cone Memorial Hospital. He was born to Ruby Butler Swift and the late Robert Swift on October 20, 1941.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School before attending Gaston Technical Institute. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Third Armor Division, stationed in Germany.
Ron was a registered land surveyor, working for the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation for 29 years as well as running his own personal land surveying company. For the last twenty years, Ron maintained a farm in the Camp Springs Community of Caswell County.
Ron is survived by his two sons: Ron Swift and Seth Swift, mother: Ruby B. Swift of Elon, brother Keith Swift, sister Janice Swift, and his grandchildren, who were is his pride and joy: Jordan, Noelle, Ethan and Aaron Swift.
