Mrs. Zodrow, 61, of Rochester, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at her home in Rochester of small cell lung cancer.
Polly was born October 7, 1954 in Rochester to James and Helen (Dornack) Smart. Polly graduated from John Marshall High School.
She married Scott Zodrow March 17, 1995 in Rochester.
Polly was the owner operator of The Spa Tavern in Rochester and later worked as the deli manager for Barlows, Econo Foods, Rainbow, and was the manager of the Garden Restaurant and the Wunder Bar in Rochester.
Survivors include her husband, Scott, her son, Jason Steele of Stewartville, MN, her brother, Charles (Val) Smart of Rochester, and her three grandchildren, Miranda, Jakob, and Jaelyn.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Smart, and her brother, Steve Smart.
Polly loved spending time with her family, especially swimming with her grandchildren. She also loved her dog, Lucas, and her cat, Sammy. She spent lots of time listening to country music.Polly was very giving, always putting the needs of others before herself.
The family would like to thank the staff of Season’s Hospice for the exceptional care that they gave to Polly.
