Jimmy J. Sutton, Sr. age 83 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at UT Medical Center.

Jimmy retired from US Army and retired from UT Hospital as a Director of Respiratory Therapy. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and Highway to Heaven Sunday school class. He loved traveling, carpentry, and was a die hard Atlanta Braves fan. Preceded in death by: parents, Ed & Jane Sutton; 5 brothers.

Survivors include: Wife of 61 years, Anna Sutton; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Jimmy, Jr. & Debi Sutton and Michael & Lana Sutton; Grandchildren, Jonathan Sutton, Shane Sutton, Tiffany Rindy; Sisters, Mary Parton & Jack, Peggy Watts, Patsy Parton, Kay Seiber & Troy; several nieces and nephews; friends at Midland Restaurant and Foothills Mall walkers.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: UT Medical Center’s Center for Transplant Services, 1924 Alcoa Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Grandview Cemetery.
