Fay was born in Brenham, Texas, to the late T. F. and Mary Kieke Wilks. She was baptized and confirmed on April 19, 1957, at Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome by Pastor Walter Wolfe. On April 9, 1961, she married Edwin G. Meyer in First United Methodist Church in Brenham. Fay was employed by Germania Insurance Co. as a custodian. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Warrenton until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, on November 22, 1992.
Survivors include sons: Eddie Wayne Meyer and Mark Allen Meyer, both of Brenham, and Robert "Bobby" Meyer and wife, Frances, of Granbury; daughters, Tina Faye Meyer and fiancé, Daniel Thornton, of Round Top, and Carol Hammond, of Tyler; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Hegemeyer, of Brenham; and several nieces and nephews.
