Edward D. Sullivan, 61, of 97 Tariff Street, died Monday at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mass. Born in Springfield, he moved to Enfield 39 years ago. He was employed by the old Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Company of Enfield for 25 years, and later worked at Bradley International Aiport, retiring in 1959. He was a member of Holy Cross Polish National Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Filomena Phyllis Olechny Sullivan; a son, Joseph E. Sullivan of Enfield; three daughters, Mrs. Edwina Krasa, Mrs. Waltella Poppers, and Mrs. Phyllis Nelson, all of Enfield, a brother Almet E. Sullivan of Manchester, a sister Mrs. Dorothy Whitlock of Springfield, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The funeral 10:25 am., Sullivan's home: service 11 am Holy Cross Church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling hours: at home Tuesday afternoon. Arrangements: Leete Funeral Home, 125 Pearl Street.

A native of Springfield, he moved to Enfield 39 years ago. He had been employed by
Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Co. for 25 years and later in the maintenance department
at Bradley International Airport, retiring five years ago.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Filomena (Olechny) Sullivan; a son, Joseph; three
daughters, Mrs. Edwina Krasa, Mrs. Waltella Poppers and Mrs. Phyllis Nelson, all
of Enfield; a brother, a sister, 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
The funeral was Aug. 28 at the family home with services in Holy Cross Polish
national Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Leete Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
