Cpl. Frances Marie Collender Age 39 of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2001. Cpl. Collender died doing what she loved to do-serving others.
Cpl. Collender was born in Dover, and raised in Newark, and later, Castle Hills. She was a 1979 graduate of William Penn High School and attended Delaware Technical and Community College. For the past 4 years, she was a police officer with the Delaware State Police and served with Troop 9 in Odessa. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, Middletown, a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Caesar Rodney Chapter #8, and a member of the Delaware State Troopers Association.
She is survived by her daughters, Samantha E. Fuller, and Taylor M. Collender, both at home; parents, Eleanor G. (Ennis) and Joseph C. Allione, Sr. of New Castle; brother, Joseph C. Allione, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Glen Burnie, MD; 2 sisters, Debbie Sue Allione and Vickie Lynne Allione, both of Newark; and loving friend, Joseph Nelson. She will be dearly missed by her loving daughters, parents, brother, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, friends, and co-workers.
