Biography

Donald E. Adams, Jamestown, went home to be with the Lord March 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1935 in Graceland, Kentucky to John Langley Adams and Mae Jewel Reynolds Moore.

He is was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and his step-father: Clarence Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula; sons: Donald R. and Jackie Adams of Urbana; Reuben and Sis Russell of New Carlisle; Andy Russell of Enon; daughter: Tammie and Nelson Wallace of Urbana; step-sons: Brian and Kimberly Greene of Xenia and Chris Greene of Cleveland; grandchildren: Chad and Ronda Wallace of Mechanicsburg; Reuben Russell; Lacy and Brandon Jones of New Carlisle; Brandy Rice of Wilmington; Seth and Taylor Greene of Xenia; Jonathan Adams of Niles, OH; Gracie and Rachael Greene of Cleveland and 6 great-grandchildren: Janie and Natalie Wallace; Paige Chesser; Jayden, Ava and Lane Rice; a brother: Mike Adams; and a sister: Jenny Kay Knowles.

Donald retired from International Harvester/Navistar after 32 years of service. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the Grape Grove Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 26, 2011at the Grape Grove Church of Christ, 6626 Grape Grove Rd., Jamestown, with Pastor William J. Lott officiating. Interment to follow in Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia.
