Edward Allee, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2016 at home in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 24, 1928 to Clifford and Edna Haley Allee in Santa Maria, California. Edward retired from the oil and gas industry and lived a full and meaningful life; was an avid reader who loved animals. He touched everyone that knew him with his humor and kindness. He served his country with distinction in the Army and Army Reserve from 1951 - 1956. He is survived by his wife, Janice; three sons, Steve, Paul, Bruce and their wives, Nancy, Thao, and Michelle; a daughter, Linda and her husband, Jackie; grandchildren, Chris, Andrew, Drew, Carlos, Madison, Chantz, Jennifer, Kimberly and Katie; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael; and a brother and sister, Don and Dorothy (Williams). Memorial service will be held at Chapel of The Eternal Peace at Forest Park Funeral Home on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10 am. Burial will follow at The National Cemetery on Veterans Memorial Drive at 12:30 pm. Arrangements under the direction of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, Houston, TX.
