Jayne L. White, age 60, of Canton, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at University Hospital, Cleveland, OH. She was born on Sept. 20, 1947 in Orrville, Ohio to Elizabeth Wertz and the late Ira Wertz. She was a 1965 graduate of Dalton High School and earned an Associate Degree from Columbus Community College, a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene College and a Master's Degree from Ashland University. She was employed as officer manager for the Great Lakes Veternary Specialists of Bedford, OH and was a part-time instructor in veternary technology at the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University. Jayne is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Jackson of Canton, Layla Kessler of Taos N. Mex.; her grandchildren, Donovan Hubbell, Ben Warren and Emma Jackson; her mother, Elizabeth Wertz of Dalton, OH and her brother, James Wertz of Dike, Iowa. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave, NW) with Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating. Burial will be in Dalton Cemetery.
