Her parents came to Iowa in 1883. She spent her early years in Marion and Jasper County Iowa. On January 20, 1905, she was married to Gerrit Tunis Van Zante at Monroe. Mr. and Mrs. Van Zante farmed near Prairie City till they moved to town in 1935.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Marie) Jabaai of Prairie City, and Mrs. Ralph (Corinne) Wood, Briggsdale, Colo.; a son, Bert Van Zante of Greeley, Colo.; three grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Cora) Throckmorton of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 21, 1951, her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Prairie City, Guild for Christian Service and Aid and Mission Circle.
