Mark McCoy, 53, of Flat Rock, IL, died at 1:56 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016.

He was born March 24, 1963 in Robinson, IL, the son of Donald McCoy & Loma (Myer) McCoy, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Merle & Grace McCoy; by his maternal grandparents, Henry & Daisy Myer; by his sister, Susan McCoy; and by his father-in-law, Jim Dressback.

He married Teresa Dressback on October 19, 1985, and she survives.

He is also survived by his daughters, Jennifer Turner & fiancé Jordan Snyder (Robinson, IL) and Ashley & husband Jake Williamson (Palestine, IL); by his grandchildren, Grace Williamson and Mckenzie Williamson; by his brothers, Doug McCoy (Arizona) and Tom & wife Becky McCoy (Hutsonville, IL); by his sisters, Becky & husband Brian Dart (Robinson, IL) and Cindy & husband Denny Noblit (Oblong, IL); by his sister-in-law, Trudy & husband Raymond Midgett (Palestine, IL); by his brother-in-law, Terry & wife Cheryl Dressback (Independence, MO); by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Dressback; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mark was a 1981 graduate of Robinson High School, and went on to work as a machine operator for Robinson Township from 1982-2006, before going to work for the Crawford County Highway Department. He was also active on the Honey Creek Township Board. Away from work he could be found gardening and also enjoyed antiquing, and was a member of the McCoy Pottery Association. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, who has lost a patriarch, role model, and friend.

A time of visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd at the funeral home with Bro. Gene Ellis officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, IL.
