Jill L. (Mock) Childers, 65, Dunkirk, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness. Born in Muncie on June 17, 1951, she lived in Dunkirk most of her life. She attended Dunkirk High School and was a graduate of Ivy Tech. Jill worked in various area nursing homes as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 22 years and also worked for ten years at Indiana Glass Co. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing BINGO.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Larry Childers; two sons, Jeff Hitchens (wife-Karen) and Jonathan Staton; a stepson, Larry Joe Williamson (wife-Hope); a stepdaughter, Mitzi Wolfe (husband-David); a brother, Mike Mock; a sister, Tammy Mock (fiance-Doug Taylor); six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Danny & Betty Mock, and a son, Robbie Hitchens, are deceased.
Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date.
