He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, trains, reading, can collecting, antiques, traveling, and Nebraska Football. He traveled to 49 states and 5 countries.
Doug is survived by his wife Tina, daughter Heather (Mark) McConnell, grandchildren Luke and Kallen, sister Karen (Larry) Clark, brother Ron (Sue) Chambers, five stepchildren, numerous step gradchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Kathy and his parents.
