According to the online death certificate, she died from the same thing as her husband which was valvular disease of the heart. Her parents were listed as John Smith and Margaret Size, both from Canada.

Mrs. Nancy Julia Budd died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Walters in Port Huron, Saturday, Feb. 20, of heart trouble and the body was brought to Caro Monday where the funeral services were held under the direction of Lee Huston at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Holmes. Rev. Sumner Young of the Evangelical church officiated.

Her maiden name was Smith and she was born in Canada March 21, 1845. In 1863 she married Samuel Hamilton and bore six children, all of whom are living. They came to Caro 23 years ago, Mr. Hamilton dying in 1914. Later she married Thomas Budd who died in 1919 and since that time she has lived with her daughters. They are Mrs. John Holmes. Caro, Mrs. Ernest Walters, Mrs. William Walker. Port Huron; Mrs. J. T. Parr, Sarnia. One son also survives. Frank Hamiton of Sanilac, also one sister, Mrs. Frank Cameron, London, Ontario, 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
