She was born in Russell County, Virginia; daughter of the late E. D. and Myrtle Johnson Elam. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jo Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Earnest Roberts; one son, Earnest Roberts, Jr. and wife Aurora of Santa Fe, Texas; one sister, Teresa Huff and husband, Kirt of Castlewood, Virginia; six brothers, Roger Elam and wife, Brenda of Appalachia, Virginia, Wayne Elam and wife, Lolly of Woodstock, Illinois, Greg Elam and wife, Linda of St. Paul, Virginia, Rick Elam and wife, Debra of Castlewood, Virginia, James Elam and wife, Ruth of Lebanon, Virginia, and Michael Elam and wife, Phyllis of Castlewood, Virginia; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Georgia Roberts will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Leonard Ferguson officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Brothers and Nephews.
